Taping
Kristin Diable allows audio taping at almost every live performance. She feels that each show is unique and wants to offer her fans the opportunity to recreate the live experience through the audio reproduction of her shows. At all taping authorized performances, tapers can tape from any ticketed seating location in the venue. No soundboard feeds, recording gear or electricity will be supplied; be sure you have all the necessary equipment. When Kristin Diable is not headlining a show we always defer to the taping policy of the headliner or the festival.
Taping is limited to audio-only (DAT, MiniDisc, and analog are all permitted, laptops as well for digital audio), using only microphones. We always suggest taping with microphones as opposed to sound board feeds. Especially in the kinds of rooms Kristin plays. Usually the sound board feeds do not capture the actual sound in the room because of stage volume and other factors, no video is ever allowed. Wireless receivers are strictly prohibited. Kristin sincerely appreciates all of her fans, so she asks that you please be considerate of those around you by not obstructing anyone else's view of the performance.
Please do not convert files into MP3 only because considerable audio quality is lost and then traded. Please use WAV, SHN or FLAC when sharing files electronically. We did convert the first live show into MP3 but this was a one-time occurrence in order keep the files downloadable for those with dial-up connections.
All recordings must be used for personal use which may include trading (via analog or digital tape, CD, or digital file transfer). Selling or commercializing any recording is illegal and will jeopardize taping privileges for everyone. Please read the Bootleg Statement for more information.
In addition to helping fans recreate the live experience, Kristin hopes tape trading will foster greater interaction within the fan community.
From time to time we may record some of our shows for a live album or DVD, and we may not allow taping at those shows or we may notify you that we are going to commercially release our tapes from the show at which time we will ask you to withdraw all of your tapes from that show(s) from further trading.
Audio/ Video
All audio and video performances belong to the Kristin Diable and are not available for promotional use without the explicit prior written consent of Kristin Diable. Please read the Bootleg Statement for more information.
Web Sites
Kristin Diable endorses the creation of fan web sites; however, the images, audio, and video material found on www.KristinDiable.com belong to Kristin Diable and may only be used with the KristinÂs prior consent. Please e-mail her at MeridianJaneMail@aol.com to request consent.

Bootleg Statement
If you see Kristin DiableÂs music being used in what you feel may be an uncomfortable situation for her, we ask you to notify her by e-mail or fax. Please provide the date, time, station, program name and song used. And don't forget, the battle against bootleggers is an ongoing one. We still encourage you to email the name and locations of any retailers or distributors of bootleg CD's along with the titles and quantities in stock. Audience taping at Kristin Diable concerts is authorized for non-commercial purposes only. Unauthorized sale, duplication and/or distribution is strictly forbidden. All Kristin Diable performances and recordings are the exclusive property of Kristin Diable. All rights reserved. The privileges to record Kristin Diable performances set forth in this policy constitute an express, revocable license. We reserve the right to withdraw our sanction of recording, tape trading, and/or non-commercial digital audio file transfers on a case specific basis or in general, as we deem necessary. No waiver of any copyright or trademark right is intended.
